How Hopover Works

We built Hopover to be calm, honest, and reliable. Everything runs on our dedicated migration servers: your WooCommerce store stays online throughout the process, and nothing heavy runs in your browser.

Step 1: Connect your source store

Install the Hopover Companion Plugin in your WordPress admin, or supply direct WooCommerce REST API keys. The companion plugin generates an Ed25519 cryptographic key pair so requests are verified without sharing store passwords.

Step 2: Preflight catalog inspection

We read your catalog in read-only mode. The screen reports exact counts of products, variants, collections, customer records, and orders. If your WooCommerce store uses a different currency (such as EUR to USD), the preflight warns you and requires an explicit confirmation tick box.

Step 3: Choose your plan and approve on Shopify

Small catalogs with up to 100 products are completely free. For larger stores, payment is a one-time charge handled directly on Shopify's native approval page. We never ask for your credit card on our website.

Step 4: Background migration with live progress

The engine copies data in small, resilient batches. Products are created, images are copied, collections are mapped, and customer accounts are linked. If the network drops or your laptop sleeps, the server continues in the background.

Step 5: Finish, audit report, and 30-day delta sync

When complete, download a complete reconciliation spreadsheet. If new orders come into WooCommerce before your domain cutover, use the 30-day delta sync to catch them up without creating duplicates.
